Precautions

➠ Before first use of the remote control, insert the batteries, making sure the polarity (“+” and “-”) is correct.

➠ Ensure the remote is pointed at the unit and that there are no obstacles between them. The maximum signal transmission distance is 8 meters.

➠ Do not drop or throw the remote control. Avoid getting liquids on it and do not expose it to direct sunlight or excessive heat.

➠ If the remote control does not work properly, remove the batteries for 30 seconds and reinsert them. If this does not help, replace the batteries.

➠ When replacing the batteries, do not mix new and old batteries or batteries of different types, as this may cause the remote control to malfunction.

➠ If the remote control will not be used for a long time, remove the batteries to prevent possible damage from leakage.

Button description

Note:

The remote control displays all symbols automatically when switched on and only according to the current operation for the remaining time.

The provided image shows a standard remote control with all functional buttons. They may differ slightly from the functional buttons of your remote control (depending on the model).

1 Button ON/OFF – Power on/off.
2 Button MODE – Select operating mode.
3 Button SPEED – Select fan speed.
4 Button CLEAN – Activate indoor unit self-cleaning function.
5 Button QUIET – Quiet mode (cooling mode only).
6 Button TURBO – Activate high-power mode.
7 Button ECO – Energy-saving mode.
8 Button SWING ⇅ – Turn vertical louver swing on/off.
9 Button SWING ⇄ – Turn horizontal louver swing on/off (not used in this series).
10 Button DISPLAY – Display backlight on indoor unit.
11 TIMER button – Timer on/off.
12 Button SLEEP – Night mode.
13 Button HEALTHY – Ionization mode (not used in this series).
14 Button ▼ – Temperature decrease button. Button ▲ – Temperature increase button.

❗👉➨ Attention:
➠ The diagram shows and describes all functions of this remote control (RC) and air conditioner. In units not equipped with all modes, unavailable functions will not operate.
➠ The set operating mode is retained after the unit is switched off. The next time the "On/Off" button is pressed, the operating mode will remain the same.
➠ The heating mode in a cooling-only air conditioner is replaced by the ventilation function.
➠ In Turbo mode, temperature changes occur faster and the adjustment amplitude is greater. If you find the room too cold or too hot, disable Turbo mode.
➠ The remote control may differ slightly from the one shown in the diagram, but this does not affect its operation or usability.

Air conditioner operation

ON/OFF (POWER ON/OFF)

Press the ON/OFF button. When the unit receives the signal, the operating mode indicator on the indoor unit display will light up. Pressing the button again will turn the unit off.

When turning the unit on or off, the TIMER and SLEEP functions will be disabled, but the previous settings will be retained.

MODE (OPERATING MODE)

Press the button to select the operating mode:
AUTO (Automatic), COOL (Cooling), DRY (Dehumidification), HEAT (Heating), FAN (Fan only).

The corresponding mode indicators are displayed on the remote control screen.

❗👉➨ Note:
About AUTO MODE
When AUTO mode is selected, the air conditioner will automatically operate in cooling or heating mode depending on the indoor temperature, creating comfortable conditions for the user.

❗👉➨ Note: HEATING mode is not available in cooling-only units.

SPEED (Fan speed)

Use this button to select the desired fan speed. Pressing the SPEED button changes the fan speed in the following sequence:
AUTO – Low – Medium – High

The corresponding fan speed indicator is displayed on the screen:
AUTO; “LOW” – Low; “MID” – Medium; “HIGH” – High.

In AUTO mode, the fan speed is set automatically depending on the difference between the set temperature and the ambient temperature.

❗👉➨ Note: AUTO fan speed is not available in FAN mode.

SWING (Louver position adjustment)

Pressing the button moves the louvers one position; there are 6 positions in total.
Press and hold the button for 2–3 seconds to activate automatic louver movement. Pressing the button again will stop the louvers in their current position. The remote control has a dual SWING button for horizontal and vertical louver swing.

❗👉➨ Attention
Some indoor unit models are not equipped with a vertical louver motor. In such cases, adjustment is only possible manually.

TEMP/TIME ▲ or ▼

Press the ▲ button to increase the set room temperature or adjust the timer value clockwise. Pressing the ▼ button decreases the set temperature or adjusts the timer value counterclockwise. The temperature setting range is from 16°C (60°F) to 32°C (90°F).

❗👉➨ Note: Temperature cannot be adjusted in AUTO or FAN modes; therefore, these two buttons will not function in these modes.

TURBO

In cooling mode, pressing this button sets the air conditioner to maximum power mode. Press again to turn it off.

SLEEP (Sleep Mode)

Press this button to switch to energy-saving mode. Pressing the button again will disable the mode. This function is available only in Cooling, Heating, and Auto modes and is designed to maintain a comfortable sleeping environment.

This function is available only in Cooling, Heating, and Auto modes and is intended to maintain a comfortable sleep setting.

In this mode, the indoor unit stores the set temperature value, operates at this value for two hours, and then changes the set point by 1°C. In heating mode, the temperature will be decreased; in cooling mode, the temperature will be increased. After another two hours, the indoor unit will change the temperature value by another 1°C.

After 7 hours of operation (total time from pressing the "SLEEP" button), the indoor unit will automatically switch off.

LED (Backlight)

Pressing this button will turn the LED display of the indoor unit off or on. The display turns off completely when this button is pressed. Pressing it again will turn the indoor unit display back on.

SHORT CUT (Shortcut)

Used to restore the previous settings of the remote control.

TIMER ON

Equipment switch-on timer. The first press of the button will enter the time setting mode. Each subsequent press will change the set time by 0.5 hours. Holding the button will change the time more quickly.

If no buttons are pressed for five seconds, the remote control will exit the time setting mode, the settings will be saved automatically, and the display will show the ON symbol.

At the set time, the air conditioner will switch on automatically.

Possible operating scenarios:
➠ switch-on at the set time;
➠ switch-on at the set time after the air conditioner has been switched off by the timer.

The timer operates within the next 24 hours.

To reset the time, press the TIMER ON button again.

TIMER OFF

Equipment switch-off timer. The first press of the button will enter the time setting mode. Each subsequent press will change the set time by 0.5 hours. Holding the button will change the time more quickly.

If no buttons are pressed for five seconds, the remote control will exit the time setting mode, the settings will be saved automatically, and the display will show the OFF symbol.

At the set time, the air conditioner will switch off automatically.

Possible operating scenarios:
➠ switch-off at the set time;
➠ switch-off at the set time after the air conditioner has been switched on by the timer.

The timer operates within the next 24 hours.

To reset the time, press the TIMER OFF button again.

SELF-CLEAN

Pressing this button will activate the SELF CLEAN mode, in which the indoor unit will run the fan for a short period to clean the evaporator of residual moisture.

❗👉➨ SELF CLEAN will not clean the filters of your air conditioner; they must be cleaned manually.

FRESH (Ionizer)

Pressing this button will turn on the ionizer (or plasma filter). Pressing it again will turn the ionizer (or plasma filter) off.

FOLLOW ME

Press this button to enable or disable the FOLLOW ME function.

When this function is enabled, the air conditioner will monitor the temperature at the location of the remote control and adjust its operation according to these readings.

❗👉➨ This function is available only for LuxAir Inverter series air conditioners.

❗👉➨ Attention
The LZ-KDP remote control is universal, and some of its functions (such as SILENCE or FOLLOW ME) may not be supported by your equipment.

Display indicators

❗👉➨ Attention
The remote control must be in direct line of sight of the indoor unit and within a maximum distance of 8 meters. When the batteries are low, the operating range of the remote control may be reduced.

Battery replacement

The wireless remote control requires two LR03 batteries for operation. Always use batteries of the same type, and observe polarity when replacing them.

Slide the battery compartment cover off. Remove the used batteries and insert new ones, observing the correct polarity.

❗👉➨ ➠ After replacing the batteries, do not use old and new batteries together.
➠ If the remote control will not be used for an extended period, remove the batteries.
➠ The operating range of the remote control does not exceed 8 meters from the indoor unit (with new batteries). Using the remote control beyond this range is ineffective.
➠ If the values on the remote control do not change, and neither the remote control nor the air conditioner responds to button presses, please remove the batteries from the remote control and reinsert them after 30 seconds.

Replace the batteries if the command is not confirmed by a beep or if the display shows dim information.

Manual air conditioner operation

If the remote control is lost or damaged, the air conditioner can be started in manual mode.

❗👉➨ Attention In this case, selecting the operating mode, adjusting the temperature, and setting the fan speed will not be possible; the air conditioner will choose the operating mode, temperature, and fan speed automatically.

To switch on the air conditioner:

➠ On the switched-off unit, press the AUTO key once to start the unit. The air conditioner will start in automatic mode and select the most comfortable settings.
➠ The next press of the AUTO key will switch the air conditioner to cooling mode, +24°C.
➠ To stop the air conditioner, press the AUTO/COOL key once again. The air conditioner will switch off automatically.

Automatic operation

In AUTO mode, the air conditioner automatically selects the settings and operating mode based on the required temperature set on the remote control and the indoor temperature.

When the operating mode is selected, all settings are stored in the unit’s memory. Therefore, if you want the air conditioner to operate under the same conditions as before, simply turn it on using the ON/OFF button.

Make sure the air conditioner is plugged in and powered. The OPERATION light on the indoor unit display will start flashing.

1. Press the MODE button to select AUTO mode.
2. Use the TEMP/TIME button to set the desired temperature.
3. Press the ON/OFF button to start the air conditioner.

If AUTO mode is not comfortable for you, you can select another operating mode at any time. Press the MODE button to choose the desired mode.

❗👉➨ Note: In AUTO mode, the fan speed is selected automatically by the air conditioner.

Cooling, Heating, Ventilation

Before starting operation, make sure there is power supply.

1. Press the MODE button to select the operating mode:
  — COOL for cooling
  — HEAT for heating
  — FAN for ventilation
2. Use the TEMP/TIME button to set the desired temperature.
3. Use the FAN button to select a comfortable fan speed.
4. Turn on the air conditioner using the ON/OFF button.

❗👉➨ Note: In FAN mode, setting the temperature is not possible.

Dehumidification

Make sure there is power supply before starting operation.

1. Press the MODE button to select the operating mode:
  — DRY for dehumidification mode
2. Use the TEMP/TIME button to set the desired temperature.
3. Turn on the air conditioner using the ON/OFF button.

❗👉➨ Note: In DRY mode, selecting the fan speed is not possible.

Timer

1. Press the TIMER button. The current timer settings will be displayed and the indicator will flash.
2. Use the TEMP/TIME button to set the desired time:
  — ▲ to increase the time
  — ▼ to decrease the time
  — each press changes the time by one minute; holding the button changes it by 10 minutes 3. After setting TIMER ON and TIMER OFF, check that the TIMER indicator is lit on the indoor unit panel.

To cancel the set value, use the CANCEL button.

❗👉➨ Note:
When timer operation is selected, the remote control automatically sends a signal to switch on the air conditioner at the required time. Therefore, keep the remote control in direct line of sight of the indoor unit to ensure signal transmission.
The timer operation time is limited to 24 hours.
Setting the timer with a 5-minute interval may be processed incorrectly by the indoor unit processor. Use intervals of at least 15 minutes for correct operation.

Timer setup example

Switch-on timer (TIMER ON)

The TIMER ON function is very convenient if you need to turn on the air conditioner automatically (for example, before returning home). The air conditioner will automatically switch on after the set time period.

To start the air conditioner at 6:00 a.m. when it is now midnight:

1. Press TIMER ON and repeat pressing until the display shows the value 6.0.

2. Wait a few seconds, and the time indicator will change to the temperature indicator. The TIMER ON indicator will be displayed at the top of the screen.

Switch-off timer (TIMER OFF)

The TIMER OFF function is convenient if you need to turn off the air conditioner at a specific time, for example before going to bed. The air conditioner will automatically stop at the set time.

To stop the air conditioner in 10 hours:

1. Press TIMER OFF and repeat pressing until the display shows the value 10.0.

2. Wait a few seconds, and the time indicator will change to the temperature indicator. The TIMER OFF indicator will be displayed at the top of the screen.

Combined timer (TIMER OFF and TIMER ON functions simultaneously)

It is now 20:00 and you want the air conditioner to turn off at 22:00 and turn on at 6:00 a.m.

1. Press TIMER OFF and repeat pressing until the display shows the value 2.0.

2. Wait a few seconds, and the time indicator will change to the temperature indicator. The TIMER OFF indicator will be displayed at the top of the screen.

3. Press TIMER ON and repeat pressing until the display shows the value 10.0.

4. Wait a few seconds, and the time indicator will change to the temperature indicator. The TIMER ON indicator will be displayed at the top of the screen.

Combined timer (TIMER ON and TIMER OFF functions simultaneously)

It is now 20:00 and you want the air conditioner to turn on at 22:00 and turn off at 1:00 a.m.

1. Press TIMER ON and repeat pressing until the display shows the value 2.0.

2. Wait a few seconds, and the time indicator will change to the temperature indicator. The TIMER ON indicator will be displayed at the top of the screen.

3. Press TIMER OFF and repeat pressing until the display shows the value 3.0.

4. Wait a few seconds, and the time indicator will change to the temperature indicator. The TIMER OFF indicator will be displayed at the top of the screen.

❗👉➨ Attention
Setting the combined timer with a working interval of 5 minutes may be processed incorrectly by the indoor unit processor. Use intervals of at least 15 minutes for correct operation of the indoor unit.

WARNING!!

➠ In timer mode, the remote control automatically sends a signal to the indoor unit after a certain time. Therefore, make sure that the indoor unit is within the remote control’s operating range and that there are no obstacles between the remote control transmitter and the receiver.

➠ For timer operation, the following time values are available:
0.5-1-1.5-2-2.5-3-3.5-4-4.5-5-5.5-6-6.5-7-7.5-8-8.5-9-9.5-10-10.5-11-12-13-14-15-16-17-18-19-20-21-22-23-24 hours
