    Safety Devices

    ❗👉➨ CAUTION

    Missing or Modified Safety Devices

Safety devices are intended for your protection. It is forbidden to modify or neglect safety devices.

    Pressure Regulator

The pressure regulator maintains the pressure in the steam tank as constant as possible during operation. The heating system switches off when maximum working pressure is reached in the steam tank, and switches on again when the pressure drops due to steam consumption.

    Safety Cap

The safety cap closes the steam tank under steam pressure. In case of a pressure regulator failure and excessive pressure buildup, the safety cap opens a valve allowing steam to escape. Before resuming operation, contact KARCHER service.

    Protective Thermostat

The protective thermostat prevents device overheating. If the pressure regulator fails and the device overheats, the protective thermostat will switch off the device.

To reset the protective thermostat, contact KARCHER service.
